Commercial Building Initiative Workshop: January 22, 2008

Realizing the Vision of Net-Zero Energy Buildings

The January 2008 Commercial Buildings Initiative workshop was held at the ASHRAE Winter Meeting, and was attended by over 100 participants. The workshop was intended to educate and involve ASHRAE members and manufacturers, including the following opportunities:

  • An introduction to CBI, including interaction with the founding organizations and the people involved.
  • A review of the recently enacted Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, and how it will impact buildings, building systems technologies, and energy efficiency.
  • Information on how to participate in, contribute to, and correspondingly benefit from CBI, and position your organization on the forefront of significant changes in the commercial buildings industry.
